About the Violence Reduction Partnership

The Bath & North East Somerset Violence Reduction Partnership (VRP) is a multi-agency group that aims to prevent and reduce violence in the area.

The VRP work to understand and address the root causes of violence, to prevent further violent crimes from occurring in the future.

The VRP also provide resources and support the work of professionals and community groups who help children who have been affected by serious violence.

The VRP was set up in 2019 to deliver a local response to serious violence. The main aims of this response are to:

  • reduce suffering
  • improve societal wellbeing and prosperity for current and future generations
  • provide substantial financial savings

PREV 

B&NES VRP currently has two forms for notification of any concerns for individuals at risk of or involved in violence and/or exploitation. There is also a notification form for any location-based concerns or hotspots.

Both notification forms ask for details including (but not limited to) the location, postcode and any known demographic information.

Please provide  as much comprehensive information as possible and answer all questions posed within the notification form.
